Oh my God, thank you very very much Cristy!!! Now, I have a copy, print it, frame it and display it in my study room together with my college diploma haha…this is the missing link! I still remember each and everyone’s name, I think most of you still do. Thanks a lot!!!!
I can identify all but three of my classmates in the Fourth Year, Section 1 Class. If somebody can do better than than, I concede, haha. Joking aside, I cannot remember the names of those three classmates. I know the faces but the names just slipped at the moment. As indicated above, I am Arsenio D Javier (I always have to put the D as there were 2 Arsenio Javiers in the batch and both were transferees in the 4th year, the odds of that happening!)
I am now based in Sydney, Australia and have also amazingly found out that a batchmate (ie, Cristy Figueroa Lusica) is wife to a friend here in Sydney. Hi Cristy! We may not have met, but I know Volt Lusica. I used to see him at Tandy’s Westpoint. Volt is a frat brod of my brother in San Francisco Cal, Rico Javier. Know him?
Also hi to Rolly Mendoza! Mate, we met last in early 2001. I’ve also been back since in Nov 2004, Dec 2005 to Jan 2006 and latest was last year June 2007. On every occassion I only get to see Rolly Bernardo. I also caught up with Mr Patalen in my Nov 2004 trip. I still have the photos we have had in 2001. Hahanapin ko lang muna then perhaps post it to this site’s webmaster.
Which brings me THANK Imo Carvajal. The batch should really thank you for this! Mate, we may not know each other, but who cares now really. I reckon this site is a good chance to, not only catch up with those whom we knew, but also to finally get to know whom we didn’t for we have a common denominator, Kiyoka 78.
Hi also to Temz Caber! You may not remember me but you signed my class photo, so can we still call you Temz? Of course who wouldn’t remember the class valedictorian. I was in Detroit June last year (yeah en route to Manila) and I stayed at my nephew in Novi. You know the suburb? Far from where you are?

Salamat sa message mo dito. Sorry, medyo maaga yatang ang signs ng Alzeimer ko, pero dahil siguro nung high school, parang katulad ako ni Imo na maliit ang mundo nung high school kaya medyo limitado ang association ko with our other batchmates except for our my classmates in the same section. Di tayo katulad ni Rolly Mendoza na gala sa lahat ng section, yun pala chine-check out nya lang pala si Maam Hernandez (tama ba mga classmates?) Hehehe, hello Rolly!
Anyway, napasyal ka na pala dito sa Detroit. Sa Madison Heights kami, about 20 minutes from downtown Detroit and 30 minutes from the Canadian border. Medyo malayo kami sa Novi, mga 30 minutes by freeway kung walang traffic. Nagagawi lang kami doon pag pupunta sa Twelve Oaks Mall, Im sure napasyal ka na nila doon, maganda at malaking mall yon di ba?
Kita mo di ko na matadaan na pumirma pala ako sa likod ng class picture mo. Oo Temz pa rin ako sa mga pamilya ko sa Bago Bantay at siempre sa mga batchmates natin, kaya lang nagbagong anyo (hahaha, what’s the right term?!) ako noong college and beyond hanggang makarating ako dito sa States. Temmy pa rin naman ako, hanggang ngayon nga me tumatawag pa sa aking Caber natin pag nakikipagchat ako sa kanila!, ok lang.

There were at least 3 Javiers in the batch. The original one is Raymundo Javier who I believe has always been with the QCA 78 batch from day 1. We were 2 Arsenio Javiers in the batch and both of us were transferees in the fourth year. Kaya di ko rin masyadong kilala everyone in the batch. It was really a funny incident when I enrolled that year. I was interviewed first by Ms Hernandez then followed by Mr Belardo. Then I went away to get some more documents and of course the money for my enrolment. When I returned that afternoon Ms Hernandez said, “Oh ikaw? Di ba enrolled ka na?” To which I replied, “Hindi po. Hindi po pedeng mangyari yan. Heto pa po yung pera bigay ng nanay ko pang bayad sa enrolment.” Kaya hanggang ngayon di ko alam kung legitimately enrolled ako. Kidding aside of course the confusion was cleared and determined that there were indeed two Arsenio Javiers both transferees. I was instructed to always put my middle initial, ie D, in my name to avoid confusing us. The other is Arsenio P Javier cousin of Raymundo Javier. I was section 4 under Mr Onofre Patalen, madalas siyang ma high blood sa amin nuon. And Grace Dacanay, you referred to me as cute mestizo in the class picture? Wala akong angal, I’m happy to take it. Topo topo, walang bawian ha!

Doon kasi sa proposed budget ni Beth de los Reyes Balano, ang proposed registration fee for Phil. based batchmate is P2,500 plus P1,000 per every guest. For overseas batchmate, registration is USS100 plus P2,000 for every guest.
Cristy Figueroa suggested na ipareho na lang ang registration fee ng batchmates whether they are Phil. based or overseas and then voluntary na lang sa mga overseas batchmates if they want to donate more or magsponsor ng batchmates who cannot afford the registration fee.
Iba pa rito yung sa Souvenir program natin, if you want to buy a space, me rates ding silang dinidecide.
Anyway, everything is still up in the air so pinag-uusapan pa ng Senado, hehehe. I sent an e-mail weeks ago asking our batchmates about the reasonable and realistic donation natin as overseas batchmates.
